Standard check-in begins at 12:00 PM (Noon), and our front desk remains open 24 hours to accommodate later evening desert arrivals. Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM, late checkout is possible upon request.

Cancellation terms depend closely on your specific booking tier and selected provider platform (such as Booking.com or Expedia). Most standard reservations allow flexible, fee-free cancellations up to 48–72 hours prior to arrival, whereas promotional packages may remain non-refundable. Do you accept credit cards at the camp, or should I bring cash (Jordanian Dinars)?

Our camp is equipped to accept major credit cards for check-outs and incidentals. However, because there are absolutely no ATM cash machines inside the Wadi Rum protected reserve, we strongly advise bringing plenty of Jordanian Dinar (JOD) cash to tip guides, buy local souvenirs, or pay for independent snacks in the village

What should I pack for a stay at Shaheen Camp (weather, clothing tips)?

Accepted Answer

We recommend packing light, comfortable layers. For daytime desert adventures, pack breathable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunblock. Because desert temperatures drop dramatically once darkness falls, always carry warm layers for the evening, such as a fleece jacket, thermal socks, and a beanie, especially if traveling during late autumn, winter, or early spring.
